Skifahren bis die Beine brennen oder einfach gemütlich genießen – auf der Schmitten finden begeisterte Alpin-Fans aller Könnerstufen ihr Snowdorado: 77 Kilometer Piste (davon 25 km schwer) wollen so richtig befahren werden. Wer noch mehr will, tobt sich einfach auf der Buckelpiste, der Geschwindigkeitsmessstrecke oder im Trainingsgelände aus. Die beiden Gondeln der Schmittenhöhebahn wurden durch exklusive Kabinen ersetzt. Für die Gestaltung war das Porsche Design-Studio in Zell am See verantwortlich. Ebenfalls neu auf der Schmitten ist die Kettingbahn, eine 6er-Sesselbahn mit Wetterschutzhauben, Sitzheizung und Sicherheitsbügeln, mit der die Westseite des Zeller Hausberges noch attraktiver wird. Insgesamt investiert die Schmittenhöhebahn AG 17 Mio. Euro in Komfort und Qualität.
